Basketball Recap: Gallatin Drops Season-High Score on Penney

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Gallatin). They pulled ahead with a 60-59 photo finish over the Penney Hornets on Tuesday. The victory was familiar territory for the Bulldogs who have now won four contests in a row.

Gallatin is also on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last nine matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 12-3 record this season. As for Penney, their defeat ended a five-game streak of away wins and brought them to 7-9.

Gallatin will take on Lafayette County in a tournament on Thursday. Both teams are headed into the matchup with plenty of momentum (Lafayette County has won seven straight at home, while Gallatin won three straight on the road), something that'll have to change. As for Penney, they will welcome Maysville at 7:30 p.m. on Monday.
