Softball Recap: South Lakes Takes a Loss

South Lakes fell victim to James Madison and their airtight pitching crew on Tuesday. They came up short against the Warhawks, falling 10-0. The Seahawks just can't catch a break and have now endured three defeats in a row.

South Lakes saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Sofia Ponce, who went 1-for-2 with one double.

South Lakes' loss was their first in the region, dropping their region record down to 2-1 and their overall record down to 9-4. As for James Madison, the victory was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 13-1.

Coming up, South Lakes will host Westfield at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. The Seahawks' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Bulldogs have averaged an impressive 8.6 runs per game this season. As for James Madison, they are taking a road trip to take on Battlefield at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
