Softball Recap: Penn Kingsmen vs. Crown Point Bulldogs
Despite a phenomenal run in the regular season, Penn couldn't carry that success into this playoff game. They fell just short of the Crown Point Bulldogs by a score of 4-2 on Saturday. The loss continues a trend for the Kingsmen in their meetings with the Bulldogs: they've now lost three in a row.
Caitlyn Denny was a force to be reckoned with on the mound despite the final result: she didn't allow a single earned run over 5.1 innings pitched. Furthermore, she didn't allow a single earned run, the first time she has blanked an opponent since back in May.
