Softball Recap: Hug Comes Up Short + How To Watch

Hug extended their losing streak (dating back to last season) to 15 on Wednesday, dropping them down to 0-9. They came up short against the Truckee Wolverines, falling 19-4. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Wolverines this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 19-3 back in March.

As for Truckee, their win was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 8-11. Considering they have won six matchups by more than nine runs this season, Wednesday's blowout was nothing new.

For Truckee's part, the team relied heavily on Sophie Inis, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with one home run, six RBI, and four runs. Those six RBI gave Inis a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Reina Rosenblatt, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with four runs, two stolen bases, and two RBI.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: Truckee beat Hug by a score of 28-13 later that day.
