Bainbridge had won seven straight on the road, but on Wednesday they bumped their record up to 14-4 to make it eight. They came out on top against the North Mason Bulldogs by a score of 4-1. The Spartans haven't had any issues with the Bulldogs recently, as the game was their ninth consecutive victory against them.

As for North Mason, they have been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 9-8 record this season. They have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

For North Mason's part, they got a good showing from Pauli Calafiore, who pitched 2.2 innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. Calafiore has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than two walks in ten consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Calvin Rice was cooking despite his team's loss, going 3-for-4 with one double and one RBI.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Bainbridge is set to challenge their familiar foe North Kitsap at 4:15 p.m. on Tuesday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Spartans 3.6, the Vikings 3.8) so any runs scored will be well earned. Meanwhile, North Mason will take on rival Olympic at 4:15 p.m. on Tuesday.
