Basketball Game Preview: Foard Tigers vs. West Iredell Warriors

The Foard Tigers will venture away from home to take on the West Iredell Warriors at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Foard is coming into the game on a three-game losing streak.

Foard saw some tournament action on Saturday. They were outmatched by Newton-Conover and fell 74-43.

Meanwhile, West Iredell came up short against Community School of Davidson on Monday and fell 76-63.

Foard will have to contain Jordan Patterson as he made an impact in West Iredell's last game. He dropped a double-double on 34 points and 12 rebounds. Patterson's afternoon made it 11 games in a row in which he has scored at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Jermaine Cornelius, who went 5 of 7 on his way to 13 points and seven rebounds.

West Iredell's defeat dropped their record down to 8-3. As for Foard, their loss dropped their record down to 1-9.

Foard beat West Iredell 63-54 in their previous meeting back in January. Will Foard repeat their success, or does West Iredell have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
