The victory was all the more spectacular given the Paladins' disadvantage in MaxPreps' South Carolina basketball rankings (they are ranked 608th, while the Chargers are ranked 221st).

Providence Classical found their leader in freshman Grafton Eiff, who went 7 of 12 on his way to 23 points in addition to seven boards and five assists. That makes it four consecutive games in which Eiff has scored at least a third of Providence Classical's points. Another player making a difference was Malachi Thompson, who posted seven points along with six rebounds and six blocks.

Providence Classical moved to 5-8 with that win, which also ended their three-game losing streak. As for Judah Christian Academy, their loss dropped their record down to 4-3.
