Norrix is on a six-game streak of home losses, Portage Northern a nine-game streak of away losses dating back to last season, but someone's luck will change on Monday. The Norrix Knights will welcome the Portage Northern Huskies at 7:00 p.m. The two teams are at an even 5-5 against one another since January of 2020, but likely not for long.

Last Friday, Norrix came up short against Western Michigan Christian and fell 47-38. While losing is never fun, the Knights can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Michigan basketball rankings (they are ranked 537th, while the Warriors are ranked 201st).

Meanwhile, it's never fun to lose, and it's even less fun to lose 64-35, which was the final score in Portage Northern's tilt against St. Joseph on Thursday.

Portage Northern's loss dropped their record down to 0-18. As for Norrix, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-13.

Norrix strolled past Portage Northern in their previous meeting back in March of 2024 by a score of 42-26. Will Norrix repeat their success, or does Portage Northern have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
