With a playoff win on the line, Radford rose to the challenge on Tuesday. They had just enough and edged out the Nelson County Governors 1-0. Give Radford's defense some credit: that's the team's third straight shutout.

Their one-goal win came courtesy of Luciano Pugliese, who's now up to 13 this season.

Radford's victory bumped their record up to 14-3. As for Nelson County, their defeat was their first of the season and makes their record 16-1-2.

Radford didn't take long to hit the pitch again: they've already played their next contest, a 3-0 loss against Glenvar on the 5th. Nelson County does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
