Basketball Recap: Kerr-Vance Academy's Win Ends Nine-Game Losing Streak at Home

Kerr-Vance Academy came into Tuesday's matchup having lost seven straight, but that streak is now in the rearview. They took down the Neuse Christian Academy Lions 43-27 on Tuesday. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 43-36 back in November.

Kerr-Vance Academy got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Lj Siplen out in front who went 9 of 17 on his way to 21 points in addition to six boards and three steals. Siplen's evening made it three games in a row in which he has scored at least ten points. Another player making a difference was M.J. Wright, who posted seven points in addition to eight rebounds and four steals.

Kerr-Vance Academy smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 17 offensive boards. That's the most offensive boards they've posted since back in December of 2023.

Kerr-Vance Academy's win ended a nine-game drought at home dating back to last season and bumped them up to 2-11. As for Neuse Christian Academy, their defeat was their tenth straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 1-6.
