Taryn Cleek Game Report: vs Mira Loma

On Thursday, Bear River got the W thanks in part to Taryn Cleek playing the best softball she has all season. Cleek wasn't messing around, not allowing a single earned run and allowing only two hits while striking out eight over five innings pitched. The pitching appearance was her third straight with zero or fewer walks.

Cleek and Bear River will have some time to savor their win since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Marysville at 4:00 p.m. on the 24th. The Bruins got just the result they wanted when they last faced the Indians thanks in part to Cleek: she scored four runs and stole a base while going 4-for-4.
