The Momence Momence Athletics will head out to face off against the Iroquois West Raiders at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Both come into the contest bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
Momence barely beat Peotone the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. Momence put the hurt on Peotone with a sharp 15-8 win on Friday. The Momence Athletics' hitters stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most runs they've scored all season.
Greyson Cantwell made a big impact while hitting and pitching. He struck out ten batters over 3.2 innings while giving up just two earned runs off two hits. Cantwell was also solid in the batter's box, scoring two runs while going 3-for-4.

Momence skirted past Iroquois West 9-8 in their previous matchup back in March of 2024. The rematch might be a little tougher for Momence since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
