With a playoff win on the line, Sylmar rose to the challenge on Friday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 77-75 victory over the Carson Colts. The win was nothing new for the Spartans as they're now sitting on ten straight.

Rob Winn was his usual excellent self, going 11-for-25 en route to 32 points along with seven rebounds and three steals. He is on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now grabbed two or more in each of the last five games he's played. Another player making a difference was Tim Tanner, who posted 13 points in addition to six boards and four steals.

Sylmar's victory bumped their record up to 18-12. As for Carson, with the defeat, they broke their three-game winning streak and moved their record to 9-20.

As of now, neither Sylmar nor the Colts have any future games scheduled.
