Baseball Recap: Danbury Comes Up Short

Danbury lost against Old Fort on April 7th, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Wednesday. The Lakers took a 7-4 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Stockaders. The Lakers' defeat continues a trend for the squad, making it five in a row.

Danbury's loss dropped their record down to 5-11. As for Old Fort, their victory ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 6-8.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Danbury will square off against St. Joseph Central Catholic at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. The Crimson Streaks have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 11.38 runs per game on average), something the Lakers will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for Old Fort, they will challenge Hopewell-Loudon at 5:00 p.m. on Monday.
