Basketball Recap: Akula Elitnaurvik Drops Highest Score of Season Against Ket'acik and Aapalluk Memorial

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Akula Elitnaurvik). Everything went their way against the Ket'acik and Aapalluk Memorial Carayiit on Friday as the Akula Elitnaurvik Tundra Foxes made off with an 83-61 victory. The Tundra Foxes pushed the score to 66-40 by the end of the third, a deficit the Carayiit cut but never quite recovered from.

Akula Elitnaurvik's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Trenton Brink, who posted 19 points. The match was Brink's fourth in a row with at least 16 points. Another player making a difference was James Brink, who scored 16 points.

The victory (which was Akula Elitnaurvik's third in a row) raised their record to 4-2. They've dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 22.3 points. As for Ket'acik and Aapalluk Memorial, their defeat ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 11-4.
