After both having extra time off, the Hockaday Daisies and the Kinkaid Falcons will shake off the rust and duke it out at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. Hockaday is coming into the matchup hot, having won their last nine games.
On Thursday, Hockaday got the win against Parish Episcopal by a conclusive 3-0.
The final score came out to 25-12, 25-13, 25-18.

Hockaday's success was spearheaded by the efforts of Siena Ebert, who had 20 digs and three aces, and Porter Johnston, who had three digs and three aces. That's the most digs Ebert has posted since back in September. Rory Madine also deserves some recognition as she served her first aces of the season.
They weren't the only good servers: Hockaday was lethal from the service line and finished the match with 16 aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least seven aces in eight consecutive matches.
Meanwhile, Kinkaid came up short against St. John's on Thursday and fell 3-1.
Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-13, 18-25, 25-14, 25-22.
Hockaday's victory bumped their record up to 26-17. As for Kinkaid, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost five of their last six contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 13-22 record this season.
Here's a few offensive stats to keep an eye on ahead of Thursday's matchup: Hockaday has really dialed in their serving this season, having averaged 7 aces per game. However, it's not like Kinkaid struggles in that department as they've been averaging 9.1 aces. Given these competing strengths, it'll be interesting to see how their clash plays out.
Everything went Hockaday's way against Kinkaid in their previous matchup back in November of 2018, as Hockaday made off with a 3-0 win. Will the Daisies repeat their success, or do the Falcons have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
