Volleyball Recap: Navarre Raiders vs. Fletcher Senators
After flying high against Pace last Thursday, Navarre came back down to earth. The Navarre Raiders fell just short of the Fletcher Senators by a score of 3-2 on Saturday. The Raiders' loss signaled the end of their five-game winning streak.
Navarre took Fletcher into a fifth set but they suffered a heartbreaking two-point loss. The final score came out to 22-25, 25-19, 25-20, 25-27, 15-13.
Addison Hilton was her usual excellent self, getting 34 digs and four aces for Fletcher. That's the most aces Hilton has posted since back in October of 2023. Kendall Alley was another key player, getting 20 digs.
Navarre's defeat ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 12-3. As for Fletcher, their win was their eighth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 11-1.
Navarre will host Harvest Community at 12:30 p.m. on Saturday. As for Fletcher, they will head out to challenge Episcopal School of Jacksonville at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Both are at an even 3-3 against one another since September of 2016, but likely not for long.
