Football Recap: Brody Mahon's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Mazama over North Bend

Mazama was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their sixth straight defeat. They lost 40-14 to the North Bend Bulldogs. The Vikings were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Bulldogs apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in October of 2024.

Mazama lost despite a true team effort on offense. The best among them was Brody Mahon, who rushed for 78 yards and one TD on only 11 carries. Rison McDonald also helped out with an impressive 116 receiving yards.

Mazama's defeat dropped their record down to 1-6. As for North Bend, their victory bumped their record up to 2-4.

Looking ahead, Mazama will head out on the road to challenge Ashland at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Vikings will be up against the Grizzlies' rather soft defense (which has allowed 37.83 points per matchup), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance. As for North Bend, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Hidden Valley at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
