Softball Game Preview: Garinger Wildcats vs. Butler Bulldogs

Garinger hasn't had much luck against Butler recently, but that could start to change on Tuesday. The Garinger Wildcats will take on the Butler Bulldogs at 5:00 p.m. Considering both teams were shutout in their prior games, the pair is probably coming into this one with something to prove.

It was a proper cat-fight when Garinger faced off against Berry on Wednesday. Garinger lost 20-0 to Berry. Having soared to a lofty 25 runs in the game before, the Wildcats' shutout was a dramatic turnaround.

Meanwhile, Butler was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat dating back to last season. They came up short against Cuthbertson, falling 15-0.

Garinger is on a four-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-3. As for Butler, their loss dropped their record down to an identical 0-3.

Garinger might still be hurting after the 15-0 defeat they got from Butler in their previous matchup back in March of 2024. Can Garinger avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
