Basketball Recap: Elgin Comes Up Short

Elgin was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They were beaten by the Addison Trail Blazers 68-34. If the Maroons were looking for revenge after losing 55-40 to them when the teams met, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Elgin's loss dropped their record down to 6-20. As for Addison Trail, they are on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last ten games, which provided a massive bump to their 10-15 record this season.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Elgin will challenge Jacobs at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Addison Trail has already played their next contest (against Proviso East), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
