Orangefield typically has all the answers at home, but  on Saturday Kirbyville proved too difficult a challenge. They came out on top against the Orangefield Bobcats by a score of  5-2. Winning may never get old, but the Wildcats sure are getting used to it with their sixth in a row.
 Emily Staggemeier looked comfortable as she  didn't allow a single  earned run over four innings pitched. What's more,  she gave up only zero  earned runs, the fewest she's  had  over her last five  games.
 On the hitting side,  Sydney Wheeler was  excellent,  going a perfect 2-for-2 with three  RBI and one  double. The dominant performance also gave  her a new career-high in  hits (two).
Kirbyville's victory was  their fourth straight on the road, which  pushed their record up to 10-3. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.0 runs over those games. As for Orangefield, their loss dropped their record down to 9-2.
 Kirbyville and Orangefield's offenses will be put to the test in their next games. Kirbyville will  square off against  Anahuac  at 6:30  p.m.  on Tuesday, a  squad that's only allowed 2.56  runs per game.
