Basketball Game Preview: NSU University Sharks vs. Key West Conchs

The NSU University Sharks will square off against the Key West Conchs at 4:00 p.m. on Saturday. One thing working in NSU University's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last seven contests.

On Thursday, NSU University was able to grind out a solid victory over Lake Worth, taking the game 63-56.

Meanwhile, Key West didn't have quite enough to beat Marathon on Wednesday and fell 55-53. The Conchs have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

NSU University will have to contain Tramane Scott as he made an impact in Key West's last game. He almost dropped a double-double on nine points and 13 rebounds. Scott has been hot recently, having also posted two or more steals the last four times he's played. David Aviles was another key player, putting up 11 points and five boards.

Even though they lost, Key West smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 28 offensive rebounds. That's the most offensive boards they've posted since back in January of 2024.

NSU University has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won eight of their last nine games, which provided a nice bump to their 13-7 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 69.8 points per game. As for Key West, they now have a losing record at 9-10.

Everything came up roses for NSU University against Key West in their previous matchup back in December of 2022, as the squad secured an 88-38 win. In that match, NSU University amassed a halftime lead of 48-20, an impressive feat they'll look to repeat on Saturday.
