Baseball Recap: Pewamo-Westphalia Has No Trouble Against Potterville

After only two runs in their last game, Pewamo-Westphalia made sure to put some runs up on the board against Potterville on Thursday. The Pirates put the hurt on the Vikings with a sharp 15-0 win. The victory continues a trend for the Pirates in their matchups with the Vikings: they've now won eight in a row.

Alex Drysdale made a big impact no matter where he played. On the mound, he tossed one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits. The dominant performance also gave him a new career-high in strikeouts (three). He was even better at the plate, going 2-for-3 with four runs, one triple, and one stolen base. He has become a key player for Pewamo-Westphalia: the team is undefeated when he posts at least two runs, but 3-8 otherwise.

In other batting news, Andrew Kriss was a standout: he went 1-for-2 with two RBI, one run, and one double. Another player making a difference was Graham Schrauben, who went a perfect 1-for-1 with three RBI and one double.
