Basketball Recap: Maple River Extends Road Winning Streak to Five

Maple River lost to St. Clair back in January, but they didn't allow them the same satisfaction on Thursday. The Eagles came out on top against the Cyclones by a score of 58-50.

Maple River pushed their record up to 15-16 with the victory, which was their fifth straight on the road. Those road wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 56.4 points over those games. As for St. Clair, with the defeat, they broke their three-game winning streak and moved their record to 9-10.

Maple River wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 76-52 loss against Oakes on the 12th. As for St. Clair, they will face off against Minnesota Valley Lutheran at 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Cyclones will be up against the Chargers' rather soft defense (which has allowed 58.75 points per contest), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance.
