Basketball Recap: Lincoln Comes Up Short

Lincoln was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their 14th straight loss. They had to suffer through a 66-28 loss at the hands of the Brandon Valley Lynx. The Patriots were not able to make up for their defeat to the Lynx from their previous meeting back in February of 2024.

Alyvia Padgett was her usual excellent self, going 10-for-14 to rack up 25 points and four steals for Brandon Valley. Padgett has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last four times she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Madison Geiver, who posted eight points in addition to seven boards and four blocks.

Lincoln's loss dropped their record down to 1-14. As for Brandon Valley, their victory was their eighth straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 15-2.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Lincoln will head out to face off against Roosevelt at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Brandon Valley, they will venture away from home to take on Harrisburg at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday.
