Basketball Recap: Goodwin Tech Takes a Loss

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Goodwin Tech can now relate to. They were dealt an 81-53 loss at the hands of the Stonington Bears on Monday. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest defeat the Gladiators have suffered since December 30, 2024.

Goodwin Tech has traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 9-10 record this season. That patch can't be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 73.8 points over those games. Stonington now has a winning record of 7-6.

Goodwin Tech does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Stonington, they will head out to square off against Rockville at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Stonington knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past four matchups -- so hopefully Rockville likes a good challenge.
