Basketball Game Preview: Tandem Friends Badgers vs. Miller School of Albemarle Mavericks + How To Watch

The Tandem Friends Badgers are packing up and heading out on the road for their first away game of the season: they will take on the Miller School of Albemarle Mavericks at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Keep an eye on the score for this one: the two teams posted some lofty point totals in their previous games.

Last Friday, Tandem Friends was beaten by St. Michael the Archangel 85-56. The Badgers haven't had much luck with the Warriors recently, as the team has come up short the last five times they've met.

Despite their loss, Tandem Friends saw several players rise to the challenge and make noteworthy plays. Sean Tyler, who posted 15 points, was perhaps the best of all. The contest was Tyler's sixth in a row with at least 15 points. Isaac Radde was another key player, putting up 15 points.

Meanwhile, even if it wasn't a dominant performance, Miller School of Albemarle beat Trinity Episcopal 59-55 on Saturday.

Tandem Friends better keep an eye on Odita Aguolu. He was instrumental in Miller School of Albemarle's win, shooting 50% from the field en route to 16 points in addition to six boards and three steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Gabe D'Alessandro, who put up 12 points and five rebounds.

Miller School of Albemarle's win bumped their record up to 4-1. As for Tandem Friends, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-1.

Tandem Friends took a serious blow against Miller School of Albemarle in their previous matchup back in December of 2021, falling 108-32. Thankfully for the Badgers, Austin Ball (who went 11-for-16 on his way to 23 points and five steals) won't be suiting up this time. Will that be enough to change the final result?
