Baseball Game Preview: Levelland Lobos vs. Snyder Tigers

The Levelland Lobos will venture away from home to challenge the Snyder Tigers at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Snyder took a loss in their last game and will be looking to turn the tables on Levelland, who comes in off a win.

Levelland was handed a six-run defeat in their previous outing, but that didn't affect their clutch gene on Tuesday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against Big Spring, sneaking past 6-5. The win continues a trend for the Lobos in their matchups with the Steers: they've now won three in a row.

Meanwhile, Snyder suffered their biggest loss since March 15th on Thursday. They lost 13-3 to Estacado. Give some credit to the fans of both teams: the last three times they've met, the home team has come away the winner.

Callen Green made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and got on base in all three of his plate appearances with two runs.

Snyder has also traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 7-18 record this season. That patch can't be blamed on the team's hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 7.0 runs over those games. As for Levelland, their victory bumped their record up to 17-12.

Levelland was able to grind out a solid win over Snyder in their previous matchup two weeks ago, winning 8-5. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Lobos since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
