The Huguenot Falcons will face off against the L.C. Bird Skyhawks at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The two teams are strolling into their contests after big wins in their previous games.
L.C. Bird will be up against a hot Huguenot squad: the team just extended their winning streak to three. The Falcons blew past Midlothian 57-7 on Friday. The result was nothing new for the Falcons, who have now won three games by 50 points or more so far this season.

A big part of Huguenot's win came down to the chemistry between Charles Scott Jr and his top target Iveon Lewis. Scott Jr threw for 315 yards and five TDs on only 18 passes while Lewis picked up 176 receiving yards and three touchdowns. With that strong performance, Lewis is now averaging an impressive 118.2 receiving yards per game.
Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask L.C. Bird). They were the clear victors by a 49-26 margin over Richmond High School for the Arts on Thursday. The Skyhawks haven't had any issues with the Bulldogs recently, as the game was their ninth consecutive victory against them.
Huguenot better keep an eye on Tyrell Allen. He was instrumental in L.C. Bird's win, rushing for 220 yards and three scores while picking up 10.0 yards per carry. Allen really tore up the turf during one magnificent 77-yard run. Another player making a difference was Anthony Carter, who rushed for 107 yards and one touchdown on only 12 carries.
L.C. Bird was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 446 rushing yards. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their rushing yard total in three consecutive matchups.
L.C. Bird's defense made their presence known, laying out the QB three times. The team can thank three different players for their defensive prowess: Christopher Whitehead, Trent Trowell, and Shajuan McKensie Jr, who each picked up one sack apiece.
Huguenot's win bumped their record up to 3-1. As for L.C. Bird, they now have a winning record of 3-2.
The upcoming contest will be a clash of competing strengths. Huguenot has relied on air attacks this season and has averaged 305 passing yards per game. L.C. Bird, on the other hand, has relied on a stout run game: they average 216.6 rushing yards per game. So which strategy will prevail on Friday? There's only one way to find out.
Everything came up roses for Huguenot against L.C. Bird when the teams last played back in October of 2024, as the team secured a 41-14 victory. Will the Falcons repeat their success, or do the Skyhawks have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
