The Cook Hornets will venture away from home to face off against the Crisp County Cougars at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
Cook is headed into the game having just suffered their closest loss since February 9, 2024 on Wednesday. They fell just short of Brooks County by a score of 52-49. While the Hornets didn't get the win, they did start the game off strong, beating the Trojans 18-12 in the first quarter.

The loss doesn't tell the whole story though, as several players had good games. One of the most active was Tucker Rountree, who dropped a double-double on 21 points and 20 rebounds. His evening made it three games in a row in which he has scored at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Ryan Thompson J.R., who went 5 of 8 en route to 12 points.
Meanwhile, everything came up roses for Crisp County against Appling County on Saturday as the team secured a 66-34 victory. The Cougars have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won eight contests by 22 points or more this season.
Cook better focus on containing Zakariyya Dwight and Courtney Oliver 4 as the pair were huge in Crisp County's win. Dwight dropped a triple-double on 23 points, 15 boards, and 12 blocks, while Oliver 4 went 7 of 14 on his way to 20 points. Dwight is on a roll when it comes to blocks, as he's now posted two or more in the last 19 games he's played dating back to last season. The team also got some help courtesy of Caden Lofton, who posted four points and 14 rebounds.
Crisp County is on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last nine matches, which provided a nice bump to their 13-4 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 66.1 points per game. As for Cook, they have been struggling recently as they've lost nine of their last ten games, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-13 record this season.
Cook didn't have too much breathing room in their contest against Crisp County in their previous matchup back in December of 2023, but they still walked away with a 54-48 win. One of the biggest obstacles the team faced in that game was Dwight, who went 10 of 19 on his way to 23 points along with seven boards and three steals.
