Baseball Recap: Pilot Rock Takes a Loss

Pilot Rock was the 8-6 winner over Sherman when they last played one another on Friday, but their luck changed this time around. The Rockets took a 6-3 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Huskies on Friday.

Deacon Gourlie made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and got on base in three of his four plate appearances with two stolen bases, one run, and one RBI. Krister Litfin was another key player, going 1-for-3 with two stolen bases and two runs.

Pilot Rock's loss dropped their record down to 2-6. As for Sherman, the win got them back to even at 3-3.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Pilot Rock will get a bit of extra time to process the defeat as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Elgin at 4:00 p.m. on May 6. As for Sherman, they will head out to face off against Weston-McEwen/Griswold at 1:00 p.m. on Friday.
