Volleyball Recap: Timpanogos Wins Going Away Against Provo

Timpanogos not only won on Thursday, but they posted their biggest win since March 5th. They blew past the Provo Bulldogs 3-0. This was payback for the Timberwolves, who suffered a 3-2 defeat the last time these two teams met.

The match came down to the wire multiple times:two sets needed extra rallies to declare a winner. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-16, 29-27, 28-26.

Cooper Pope paced Timpanogos' offense, picking up 20 kills. Pope got some help from Zaxen Downey and his 36 assists. Pope was also solid from the service line: he led the team with four aces.

Timpanogos' win bumped their record up to 6-7. As for Provo, they dropped their record down to 5-9 with the loss, which was their fourth straight at home.

Looking ahead, Timpanogos will welcome Orem at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Tigers will roll in looking for their ninth straight victory, something the Timberwolves surely won't give up without a fight. As for Provo, they will challenge Payson at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
