Belvidere North is 6-1 against Rockford East since May of 2017 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Thursday. The Blue Thunder will square off against the E-Rabs at 6:30 p.m. Neither squad made it on the board the last time they hit the pitch, so they've probably got a bit of extra motivation.

Meanwhile, Rockford East was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their sixth straight defeat. They came up short against Boylan Catholic, falling 10-0. While losing is never fun, Rockford East can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Illinois soccer rankings (they are ranked 218th, while Boylan Catholic are ranked 53rd).

Rockford East's loss dropped their record down to 0-6. Belvidere North's draw makes their record 6-0-2 this season.

Belvidere North took their victory against Rockford East in their previous matchup back in March of 2024 by a conclusive 9-0 score. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Blue Thunder since the team won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
