Recap: Rim of the World Fighting Scots vs. Loma Linda Academy Roadrunners
The Rim of the World Fighting Scots can finally bid farewell to their five-game losing streak thanks to their game on Saturday. They came out on top against Loma Linda Academy by a score of 55-46. That's another feather in the cap for Rim of the World, who also won these teams' last head-to-head.
Jackson Urquiza was his usual excellent self, dropping a double-double on 23 points and 11 rebounds. That makes it three consecutive games in which he has scored at least 25% of Rim of the World's points. Another player making a difference was Cole Paxton, who scored 11 points along with five steals.
Rim of the World's win bumped their record up to 5-9. As for Loma Linda Academy, they have been struggling recently, as they've lost five of their last six games, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-10 record this season.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Rim of the World and Kaiser will face off at 5:30 p.m. on January 4th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. Kaiser is coming into the game on a three-game losing streak. As for Loma Linda Academy, they will play host again and welcome Public Safety Academy, where tip off is scheduled for 5:30 p.m. on January 9th. Public Safety Academy is hoping to put an end to a three-game streak of away losses.
