Softball Recap: Angleton Extends Winning Streak to Three

Angleton extended their winning streak to three on Wednesday, bumping them up to 15-12-1. They came out on top against the Santa Fe Indians by a score of 4-0. This was a revenge game for the Wildcats: when they faced off against the Indians back in March, they had to take a 4-3 loss.

As for Santa Fe, their defeat dropped their record down to 20-6. Having soared to a lofty ten runs in the game before, their shutout was a dramatic turnaround.

For Santa Fe's part, Mallory Richardson spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered three earned (and one unearned) runs on four hits and racked up eight Ks. Richardson has been consistent for a while: she hasn't given up more than two walks in ten consecutive appearances.

Coincidentally, Angleton and Santa Fe will both be playing Ball the next time they take the field. The Indians will head out to face the Golden Tornadoes at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday, while the Wildcats will host them at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
