Basketball Game Preview: Wilson Prep Tigers vs. Word of God Christian Academy Holy Rams

The Wilson Prep Tigers will head out to take on the Word of God Christian Academy Holy Rams at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Wilson Prep will be looking to extend their current seven-game winning streak.

Wilson Prep is headed in fresh off scoring the most points they have all season. They walked away with a 75-67 win over Southern Nash on Saturday. Given the Tigers' advantage in MaxPreps' North Carolina basketball rankings (they are ranked 85th, while the Firebirds are ranked 214th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Wilson Prep can attribute much of their success to Paris Best, who went 10 of 21 en route to 31 points and seven assists, and MyAngel Brimage, who went 10 for 15 on her way to 25 points along with six rebounds and five blocks. With that strong performance, Brimage is now averaging an impressive 2.1 blocks per game. Another player making a difference was Kaiden Brown, who went 5 of 10 en route to 11 points.

Meanwhile, Word of God Christian Academy waltzed into their game on Monday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They came out on top against the Knights by a score of 52-43.

Wilson Prep pushed their record up to 13-1 with the victory, which was their eighth straight on the road. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 62.0 points per game. As for Word of God Christian Academy, they are on a roll lately: they've won six of their last eight matches, which provided a nice bump to their 12-5 record this season.
