After flying high against West Henderson last Thursday, A.C. Reynolds came back down to earth. The A.C. Reynolds Rockets took a 63-56 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Erwin Warriors on Wednesday. The Rockets' defeat signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.

Despite the loss, A.C. Reynolds still got an impressive performance from Addie Long, who dropped a double-double on 18 points and 11 boards. Long is becoming a predictor of A.C. Reynolds' success: when she posts at least eight rebounds the team is 3-1 (and 4-5 when she doesn't). Mary Green was another key player, putting up ten points and four steals.

Erwin's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Teasia Hines led the charge by going 6 of 13 en route to 14 points and seven boards. The team also got some help courtesy of Tania Lenoir, who went 5 for 9 on her way to 13 points.

A.C. Reynolds' loss was their first in the conference, dropping their conference record down to 3-1 and their overall record down to 7-6. As for Erwin, they are on a roll lately: they've won ten of their last 11 contests, which provided a nice bump to their 13-3 record this season.

A.C. Reynolds has already played their next matchup, a 64-31 victory against T.C. Roberson on the 17th. As for Erwin, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 72-38 defeat against McDowell on the 17th.
