Football Game Preview: Palisades Dolphins vs. Mary Star of the Sea Stars

The Palisades Dolphins are taking a road trip to challenge the Mary Star of the Sea Stars at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. One thing working in Palisades' favor is that they have posted at least 31 points every time they've taken the field this season.

Last Friday, Palisades didn't have too much trouble with El Camino Real as they won 35-18. The final result isn't all that surprising considering the Dolphins' considerable advantage in MaxPreps' California football rankings (they are ranked 302nd, while the Royals are ranked 678th).

It was another big night for Jack Thomas, who threw for 310 yards and three touchdowns while completing 81.2% of his passes, and also punched in one rushing score. What's more, he racked up 161.5 passer rating, the most he's had since back in November of 2024. King Demethris was another key player, picking up 139 receiving yards and one score.

Meanwhile, Mary Star of the Sea ended up a good deal behind Lawndale on Friday and lost 30-15. The loss was the Stars' first of the season.

Mary Star of the Sea's loss dropped their record down to 3-1. As for Palisades, their victory bumped their record up to 4-0.
