Basketball Recap: Brocton's Win Ends Four-Game Losing Streak on the Road

Brocton hadn't done well against Frewsburg recently (they were 0-9 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Thursday. The Brocton Bulldogs put the hurt on the Frewsburg Bears with a sharp 69-43 win. The match was all but wrapped up at the end of the third, by which point the Bulldogs had established a 23 point advantage.

Frewsburg's loss shouldn't obscure the performances of Blake Weaver, who almost dropped a double-double with 19 points and nine boards, and Kael Collver, who dropped a double-double with 12 points and 11 rebounds. Collver is also on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now grabbed two or more in each of the last six games he's played. Another player making a difference was Trent Lewis, who posted seven points and seven rebounds.

Brocton's victory ended a four-game drought on the road and puts them at 6-12. As for Frewsburg, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 9-12.

Brocton didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, an 89-51 defeat against Westfield on the 1st. Frewsburg does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
