Soccer Game Preview: South Kitsap vs. Puyallup

South Kitsap is 0-9-1 against Puyallup since March of 2018 but things could change on Monday. Wolves will take on the Vikings at 7:30 p.m. The two teams each escaped with close wins against their previous opponents.

South Kitsap was handed a eight-goal loss in their previous outing, but that didn't affect their clutch gene on Wednesday. They had just enough and edged out Bethel 2-1. The victory was some much needed relief for South Kitsap as it spelled an end to their three-game losing streak.

Meanwhile, Puyallup faced Sumner in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Wednesday. The Vikings skirted past the Spartans 3-2. Winning may never get old, but Puyallup sure are getting used to it with their fourth in a row.

South Kitsap's win bumped their record up to 3-5. As for Puyallup, they pushed their record up to 6-0-1 with the victory, which was their third straight on the road.

South Kitsap suffered a grim 5-0 defeat to Puyallup when the teams last played back in April of 2024. Can Wolves avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
