Volleyball Recap: Gonzales Falls to Rancho San Juan in First Game of Season + How To Watch

Gonzales unfortunately couldn't capitalize on their home-court advantage in their season opener. They fell just short of the Rancho San Juan Trailblazers by a score of 3-2 on Thursday. The Spartans were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Trailblazers apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in September of 2024.

Gonzales was was forced to take the loss, but they sure made Rancho San Juan work for it, especially in the first set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 27-25, 25-13, 21-25, 20-25, 15-12.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Gonzales will host St. Francis at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Rancho San Juan, they will be defending their home court for the first time this season when they go up against Anzar at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
