Rocky Hill had already won seven in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 9 runs) and they went ahead and made it eight on Wednesday. They walked away with a 6-2 victory over the Wethersfield Eagles. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 7-2 back in April.

Ingris Lin spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered just two earned runs on three hits and racked up 12 Ks. Those 12 strikeouts set a new season-high mark for her.

At the plate, Sophia Milman was excellent, going 1-for-2 with one home run. That home run marked the first that she has launched this season.

Rocky Hill's win bumped their record up to 15-4. As for Wethersfield, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost four of their last five games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 2-5 record this season.

Rocky Hill will venture away from home to take on Conard at 3:45 p.m. on Thursday. Wethersfield does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
