Recap: Weldon Valley Warriors vs. Peetz Bulldogs
The Weldon Valley Warriors''s recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their sixth straight loss. They were outmatched by Peetz on the road and fell 56-6. Weldon Valley was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 48-0.
Peetz got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Chance Segelke out in front who threw for 101 yards and three touchdowns while completing 80% of his passes. Tanner Wood and his 115 yards on the ground were also a key factor in Peetz's win.
Weldon Valley's defeat was their third straight on the road, which dropped their overall record down to 2-6. Those losses could be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they only averaged 6.7 points per game. As for Peetz, the win makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 7-1.
Weldon Valley does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Peetz will look to defend their home field on Friday against Otis at 7:00 p.m. Otis is also coming in off of a big victory, so somebody is in for a big reversal of fortune.
