Baseball Game Preview: Evadale Rebels vs. Sabine Pass Sharks

For the second straight game, Evadale will face off against Sabine Pass. The Rebels will be playing in front of their home fans against the Sharks at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.

On Tuesday, Evadale beat Sabine Pass 7-2. That looming 7-2 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for the Rebels yet this season.

Cooper Palmer made a splash while hitting and pitching. He struck out 11 batters over seven innings while giving up just one earned (and one unearned) run off five hits (and only one walk). He also tossed a walk, which is notable because Evadale is 2-1 when he allows at most one walk, but 2-4 otherwise. Palmer was also big at the plate, getting on base in all four of his plate appearances with two doubles, one stolen base, and one run. That's the most doubles he has posted since back in March of 2025.

Palmer wasn't the only one making solid contact as six players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was Easton Gray, who went 2-for-4 with one run and one RBI. That RBI was Gray's first of the season.

Evadale's win ended a five-game drought on the road and puts them at 4-5. As for Sabine Pass, their defeat was their first in the district, dropping their district record down to 2-1 and their overall record down to 3-3.
