Volleyball Recap: May River Comes Up Short + How To Watch

If May River was riding high fresh off their 3-0 takedown of Colleton County on Tuesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Sharks took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Bishop England Battling Bishops on Thursday. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Battling Bishops this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 3-1 back in September.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-14, 17-25, 25-20, 25-20.

Aurora Rieck paced May River's offense, picking up 15 kills. Rieck got some help from Jensen Skirtich and her 16 assists. Finally, Julie Sonzogni kept May River's defense grounded, leading the team with four blocks.

May River's loss dropped their record down to 17-9. As for Bishop England, they are on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last ten contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 12-7 record this season.
