For the Lions, this counts as revenge for the 57-33 victory Young Men's Leadership Academy walked away with the last time they faced one another back in December of 2021.

Turner's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Matthew Stone, who went 5 of 10 en route to 19 points and six rebounds. Another player making a difference was Leo Portillo, who posted 17 points.

Turner has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matches, which lines up perfectly with their 12-4 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 56.3 points per game. As for Young Men's Leadership Academy, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 8-7.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Turner will face off against Highland Park at 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Young Men's Leadership Academy, they will head out to face off against Gateway Charter Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
