Basketball Recap: Port Huron Red Hawks vs. Dakota Cougars
Port Huron was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They fell 46-38 to the Dakota Cougars. The Red Hawks were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Cougars earlier this season, when they won 36-31.
Dakota got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Meadow Cameron out in front who almost dropped a double-double on ten points and nine boards. The dominant performance also gave Cameron a new career-high in assists (three). Brooklyn Garavaglia was another key player, putting up 15 points.
Port Huron's loss dropped their record down to 8-7. As for Dakota, their record is now 6-10.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Port Huron will venture away from home to take on Utica Eisenhower at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Dakota, they are taking a road trip to challenge Grosse Pointe South at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
