The St. Joseph Academy Flashes will face off against the University Christian Christians at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The two teams each escaped (but just barely!) with wins against their previous opponents.
St. Joseph Academy's pitching crew heads into the contest hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Thursday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against Oakleaf, sneaking past 2-0. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Flashes have posted since February 12th.

Cullen Garner looked comfortable as he pitched three innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. What's more, he posted five strikeouts, the most he's had since back in March.
On the hitting side, Dayton Taylor was excellent, going 2-for-3 with one stolen base, one double, and one RBI.
St. Joseph Academy hit smart and finished the game with only two strikeouts. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their strikeout total in three consecutive matchups.
Meanwhile, it was close, but on Tuesday University Christian sidestepped Atlantic Coast for a 3-2 win. That's two games straight that the Christians have won by just one run.
Nathan Nunez looked comfortable as he tossed one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits. He has been consistent : he hasn't given up more than two walks in seven consecutive appearances.
At the plate, Bryson Harnage and Bo Wilson did most of the damage at the plate: Harnage went 1-for-3 with one home run, while Wilson scored a run and stole a base while going 1-for-2. The team also got some help courtesy of Brennen Crouch, who scored a run and stole a base while going 1-for-1.
University Christian pushed their record up to 17-7 with the victory, which was their fourth straight at home. Those home wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.3 runs on average over those games. As for St. Joseph Academy, their victory bumped their record up to 18-6-1.
The batters for both teams will have to hit smart on Tuesday as both have some strikeout artists on the roster. St. Joseph Academy has been retiring batters left and right this season, having averaged 9.2 strikeouts per game. However, it's not like University Christian struggles in that department as they've been averaging an even more impressive 7 strikeouts. Considering how easily both teams rack up Ks, the hitters on both teams better bring their A-game into this one.
St. Joseph Academy beat University Christian 3-0 when the teams last played back in March of 2024. Will the Flashes repeat their success, or do the Christians have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
