Baseball Game Preview: Medina Mustangs vs. Kenmore West Blue Devils

The Medina Mustangs will head out to face off against the Kenmore West Blue Devils at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Medina is coming into the contest hot, having won their last four games.

Medina's pitching crew heads into the matchup hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Monday. Everything went their way against Wilson as they made off with a 7-0 win. The result was nothing new for the Mustangs, who have now won 12 games by six runs or more so far this season.

Not much got past Preston Woodworth, who gave up just two hits and racked up 11 Ks to keep Wilson off the board. Woodworth has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than one earned run in ten consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, Medina let Aidan Papaj and Brody Fry run wild. Papaj got on base in three of his four plate appearances with two runs and one stolen base, while Fry went 1-for-2 with two runs, one double, and one RBI. Papaj has been hot recently, having posted at least one stolen base the last three times he's played. Another player making a difference was Ryleigh Culver, who went 1-for-3 with two stolen bases and one run.

Meanwhile, Kenmore West came up short against Sweet Home on Monday and fell 10-5. The Blue Devils have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Medina's victory was their tenth straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 17-1. The road wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 12.0 runs over those games. As for Kenmore West, their loss dropped their record down to 6-10.
