Basketball Recap: Walla Walla Takes a Loss

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Walla Walla can now relate to. They had to suffer through a 69-42 loss at the hands of the Mt. Spokane Wildcats. While losing is never fun, the Blue Devils can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Washington basketball rankings (they are ranked 113th, while the Wildcats are ranked 31st).

Walla Walla dropped their record down to 12-10 with the loss, which was their third straight on the road. As for Mt. Spokane, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven matches, which provided a nice bump to their 16-7 record this season.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Walla Walla will face off against Kennewick at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Mt. Spokane, they will challenge Central Valley at 6:00 p.m. on Saturday. One thing working in Mt. Spokane's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last seven games.
